 Cell Phones for Soldiers

SCHOHARIE COUNTY'S OFFICIAL COLLECTOR for CELL PHONES for SOLDIERS & HELP

for RETURNING SOLDIERSNew Collection Boxes are being placed around the County since numerous sites were flooded.

Watch for them and donate your old cell phones.  Each cell phone will give a military person a phone card so they can call home.

5th Annual GRACE RACE - April 20th, 10am, beginning at Twin Oaks Campground, Twin Oaks Ln./off Ecker Hollow Rd., Middleburgh, and ending at Fields of Grace's site on St. Rt. 145, E. Cobleskill. Registration: 8:30-9:30am or by mail. Download registration form from this site. T-shirt & lunch included in registration.  Call if you would like to volunteer, (518)827-5344.

Little League Opening Day Free Popcorn Give-away: Schoharie & Middleburgh Little Leagues, Sat., May 4.

 

Schoharie County Conservation Association Project Winner Scholarship sponsored by Fields of Grace Outreach: Winner's presentation at Middleburgh Library. Open to the public.  Youth encouraged to attend. Free. Refreshments served.  Date &Time TBA

 

"INSPIRING SENIOR" AWARD: All applications due in by May 15th.  Download an application from this site or pick up one from your High School guidance counselor.  One winning application/essay will be selected from each of the 6 Schoharie County High Schools: Cobleskill/Richmondville, Jefferson, Gilboa/Conesville, Sharon Springs, Schoharie, Middleburgh.

JUNE

"INSPIRING SENIOR" AWARD WINNERS Announced by mid-June.

 

Annual FREE CPR/AED/1st Aid Training for Youth and Young Adults: hosted at Evangelical Lutheran Church Community Room, 890 State Rt. 443, Gallupville, NY. Space is limited so call (518)827-5344 for reservation.

 

Help Sponsor: Don Conklin Memorial Community Youth Fishing Derby. Free! Sat., June 8, 11am- 1pm, Middleburgh Rod & Gun Club Pond. Refreshments. Prizes for winning sizes of fish caught.

 

Youth Volunteer Group: Projects TBA

 

FREE GAME NIGHT: All ages invited! Bring your favorite game or participate in those provided. Refreshments served. Hosted at Evangelical Lutheran Church Community Room, 890 State Rt. 443, Gallupville, NY.  Date & Time TBA

LEADERSHIP TRAINING Through GAMES: Free and open to all youth and young adults. Partnering with the Schoharie County Youth Bureau on Fri., July 19, beginning at 4pm at Twin Oaks Campground, Twin Oaks Ln./off Ecker Hollow Rd./off St. Rt. 145, Middleburgh, NY. Refreshments & BBQ provided.  Camping with group by reservation. Space is limited.  (518)827-5344.

 

ANNUAL "BOAT-A-FLOAT" Boat Building / Leadership Training Event: Sat., July 20th, Twin Oaks Campground. Time TBA

SCHOLARSHIP CONFERENCE for YOUTH EVENT PLANNING: date & time TBA - A day of Scholarship Presentations from local Organization, Businesses, Not-for-Profits, Private Foundations, and Families offering scholarships to graduating students for college and other educational opportunities. OCTOBER

FOG Awareness Booth: Middleburgh Fall Festival, Oct. 12.

 

Annual Auction: Sat., Oct. 19, 11am-1pm. Silent Auction & Preview begins at 10am. Refreshments. Hosted at Middleburgh Rod & Gun Club, off Middlefort Rd., Middleburgh, NY. Donations of items accepted until day before the auction.

NOVEMBER

Help Sponsor: Boy Scouts' Veteran's Day Remembrance, placing flags on graves of veterans.

 

Thanksgiving Food Baskets for those in need.

DECEMBER

Community Youth Christmas Party: Sat., Dec. 14, 1-3pm. Refreshments & gifts. Hosted at Middleburgh Rod & Gun Club Clubhouse, off Middlefort Rd., Middleburgh, NY.  Donations of new items accepted.
